Olga Titus

Olga Titus (*1977) explores her life between two realities as a Swiss woman with Swiss-Indian-Malay roots. Her work deals with Cultural diversity and questions of identity and cultural imprint. Olga Titus' typical visual language is voluptuous and lavish, playing with multimedia forms, a wide variety of materializations and different cultural sign sets
In 1994 she attended the preliminary course at the School of Design in St. Gallen and then completed a three-year apprenticeship as an embroidery and textile designer in St. Gallen. From 2002 to 2006 she studied Fine Arts at the HSLU in Lucerne, spending a semester abroad at the College of Fine Arts Trivandrum in India. She has been awarded several prizes and grants for her work, including the City of Winterthur Prize in 2008, a "Special Mention" at the 2014 Swiss Short Film Festival and the Art Award of the Bündner Kunstverein 2022.
