HEALING
With her work "Down the river" we show a multi-layered multimedia work (20') that depicts the smallest Swiss population group, the Rumantsch-speaking people (fourth national language) from the Bergell valley (towards Italy). The video is about witches, medicinal plants, conspiracy theories and shows how in this wonderful, secluded mountain world, a natural cocoon, such legends could last especially long. Symbol also for today's Fake News.
The artist did research on today's mechanisms of marginalization of women, based on the Bergell witch trials of the 16th to 18th centuries. Image and sound levels were interwoven in collaboration with the Bergell choir to create an essayistic film that also deals with questions of possible empowerment - English subtitles.

Among other things, art manages to give us this feeling of being connected to something that is boundless and beyond words.
