Gianin Conrad

Gianin Conrad (*1979) grew up in Chur. He lives and works in the canton of Graubünden, Zurich, Winterthur and Antwerp in Belgium. After an apprenticeship as a stone sculptor, he studied fine arts, including the preliminary course, at the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK from 2001-2006. After an extended study exchange at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), he completed his Master's degree at the Basel University of Art and Design in 2010. Conrad has been awarded various scholarships and art prizes, including artist-in-residencies. Since 2006 he has had regular exhibitions in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France, Belgium and Greece. Examples include solo exhibitions at the Kunsthalle Winterthur, the Engländerbau in Vaduz, the Base Alpha Gallery in Antwerp and the Notgalerie in Vienna. His works are represented in various collections.
