Geli Derzapf

2026

Geli Derzapf is an emerging, undiscovered artist with steady local presence in Berlin. She studied at the Berlin University of the Arts, UDK (Valérie Favre's class) and lives and works in Berlin.

Her body of work is an emotional exploration of the themes of vulnerability, rebirth, spirituality, and the dissolution of the human body into a form of the highest self. She draws with oil pastels on paper. Her work symbolizes a healing process and the belief that it will be feasible to overcome trauma, fears, and pain, and to develop forgiveness and love for oneself and others. They are refined reflections on death and resurrection.

«As a christian raised in fear I’m afraid of the devil. And yet I draw diabolical things. Is this a celebration of my god-given freedom or my evil fate?» Geli Derzapf
