Aloïs Lichtsteiner's work as a painter focuses on mountain landscapes and craggy rock formations. However, this is too short-sighted: Not only dots and spots in the snow, painted on canvas, but also sculptures, objects and multiples, all of which have decay as their theme. What they all have in common is an intense preoccupation with light and color, as well as materials and work materials. Everywhere he seeks to overcome the limits and show new perspectives.
